Concrete-to-Concrete Handbook

The Handbook serves as a one-stop reference with structured content for designers/engineers for efficient design and construction of applications of concrete-to-concrete connections using post-installed systems (rebar and shear-connectors). It includes state-of-the-art design procedures (for lap splices, end anchorages, and concrete overlays) including principles of product qualification for static, seismic, fire, and fatigue loads based on the European framework. The handbook provides step-by-step design calculation examples for all applications (lap splices, end anchorages, and concrete overlays) and how the design software PROFIS Engineering can be used for efficiently solving the design cases. A chapter is dedicated to the installation of post-installed systems for concrete-to-concrete connections including the best procedures and tools used for the correct execution methods. This will help the designers/engineers to understand, specify, and implement design solutions. Some reference project examples from different parts of the globe which were made possible by implementing Hilti’s qualified solutions, are also showcased.
