Structural Steel Education Forum : Earthquakes in India and role of Steel Structure !!!

 

 

The Department of Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee announce the beginning of the "Structural Steel Education Forum", an online platform dedicated solely to improving the understanding of Structural steel manufacturing, design, and fabrication process. Through online webinars and lectures, reports, updates on R&D in structural steel, and many more avenues, the forum intends to inform and educate students, researchers, academicians, scientists, engineers, and fabricators on the various aspects of structural steel usage. The forum is supported by INSDAG, a not-for-profit, member-based organization established by the Government of India (Ministry of Steel) and Major Steel Producers of the Country in 1966 (https://www.steel-insdag.org/).

 

To start the functioning of the forum, an online lecture is being organized by Prof. Yogendra Singh, Department of Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee, on the topic "Earthquakes in India and role of steel structure" on 6th December 2023 , at 4:00 PM.
