Building Future Bharat with NBCS-2026

The Indian Buildings Congress (IBC), Odisha Centre, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), is organizing a one-day Technical Seminar and Panel Discussion on “Building Future Bharat with NBCS-2026” on 19 September 2026 at Hotel Lemon Tree Premier, Bhubaneswar.

The event aims to create awareness and facilitate discussions on the latest provisions of the National Building Construction Standards (NBCS-2026), focusing on safer, more sustainable, and resilient built environments. The seminar will bring together experts from BIS, architects, engineers, consultants, construction agencies, academia, and industry to deliberate on key aspects of NBCS-2026, including implementation challenges, fire and life safety, public procurement practices, energy efficiency, and the role of various stakeholders in shaping the future of India's construction sector.

Through technical presentations and panel discussions, the programme will serve as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, professional networking, and promoting the adoption of national standards for achieving a safer, stronger, and more sustainable Bharat.
