ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP :
This lecture will cover common strengthening techniques include concrete jacketing with post installed rebars, steel jacketing using post installed anchors, and innovative shear strengthening systems employing post installed chemical anchors without base plates. Shear failure and punching shear failure are critical for concrete beams, slabs and foundations. This discussion will review the local strengthening techniques with post-installed solutions, codal provisions for design, testing and installations and some real time case studies demonstrating the application of this technology in existing structures.
